The far end of a long run has to be planned. A wide elevation plus a long approach can put two hundred feet of cable between the first bulb and the last. Angle matters more than frontage. If your house is read from a curve, the display has to work on the elevation people actually see, which is not always the one that measures longest.

Linear footage of roofline. A single-storey ranch near the older Lincoln Highway corridor and a two-storey with a wraparound front porch in a newer subdivision are not close to the same job.

Height and pitch. Second-storey gables and steep roofs mean more ladder work and more time.

Tree wrapping. Priced per tree by trunk diameter and how high you go. On a lot with three mature trees this is frequently the largest line on the quote — and the one that does the most for the display.
